Issues with Family and being gay?

how old are you exactly? if you're under 18 then you may want see if you qualify for being an emancipated minor, why don't you get involved with Big Brothers/Sisters or volunteer at a youth activity center since you like kids? sometimes the best thing you can do is sever ties with toxic people and hope for the best. i'm sorry your family treats you this way, mine has done the same to me on occasion. have you thought about going to counseling? if you can find a gay therapist i believe it would help you immensely since straight shrinks can never seem to quite understand the issues "our kind" is faced with on pretty much a daily basis.
