What's wrong with my cat?? HELP!!?

my cat is an inside cat along with our 2 other kittens. Chloe is around 6 or 7 and before we left she must have gotten out in the East Coast heat. when we got home i went upstairs and my mom starting yelling "LANEY LANEY!! YOU CAT!!" so i went down and my mom said that she came in and starting laying down and huffing and puffing. We brought her into the air conditioning and put brand new water out. She is laying down now. Is she going to be okay?
