What can i due about an inaccurate police report?

I was recently involved in an accident where i was riding my bike and a driver pulled out of his driveway and without looking or stopping hit me. While I was at the hospital the officer never bothered to get my side of the story and basically said that I hit the car from the side and threw my bike under the car. Now the insurance companies are using that report to screw me and have already thrown the case out. I now have to pay for all the hospital bills and my impending acl surgery that I suffered from the accident. On top of that I have to pay for the tow truck that had to come remove my crushed bike from under the car because no one could pull it out. There is no way I can afford any of this. Is there anything I can due? Maybe sue the officer himself? Also although there were no witnesses to the accident there are witnesses that heard the officer telling the driver that even though there are no stops signs on driveways he has to stop and look so accidents like this don't happen.
