What would you do?

I was watching the science channel the other day and a lady was hurt by falling off a ladder. She needed emergency surgery to repair mive internal bleeding. She lost a lot of blood, so she needed a transfusion, but due to her husbands religious beliefs, they were Johavahs Witness, he didnt believe in the blood transfusion, and would not allow it. The doctors tried to convince the husband to go thru with it, that it was a routein surgery, and she would recover within weeks. He still decided against and she died that night. Would you stick to your beliefs and let your mate die?
