biological theory of abnormality places the emphasis of psychological disturbances on physical causes. a main focus is the role of neurotransmitters, particularly serotonin and dopamine. there are many studies and research. just look up anything to do with research on depression and schizophrenia. there is also genetic studies and behavioral conditioning that contribute to the medical model concerning abnormality.
