My fuel pump is not working........why?
first thing that id check is pull a plug out of your motor and put it into the plug wire boot to see if you are getting spark...if you are then its a fuel/air problem... next id pull the fuel like off and turn the key on if u have an electric fuel pump u should get some fuel or try to turn it over to see if some fuel sprays out while the line is off...then trace it back to find your problem. if no fuel is coming out id check the fuel filter first...it may be clogged...you could pull the line off the filter (side closest to the tank and pump) doing the same steps as before to see if fuel comes out. in not then check the connections on your pump to make sure its getting juice if it is and the pump is working but still no fuel then its in the tank or a clogged fuel like....in the gas tank there is a sock like cover on the end of the fuel pick-up sometimes they get clogged or rot away and clog themselves in the pick up esp in older vehicles.... i always took them off and just ran 2 fuel filters one before and after the fuel pump depending upon where it was. I hope this helps you
